Action Angler is putting together a 3 day float trip on the Gunnison River through the Black
Canyon in Colorado for June 29, 2010. This is an unbelievable fishery with incredible scenery.
The Gunnison is featured in the book 50 places to fish before you die for a reason. The aquatic life in this river is very
hard to comprehend. For a water to qualify for Gold Medal status in Colorado it must produce more than 60 pounds per acre
of trout and at least 12 of those trout per acre must top 14 inches in length, the Gunnison River has 374 pounds per acre
of trout and 7200 fish per mile +/- 1100. There are over 9000 miles of river in Colorado and only about 160 miles of them
fit the gold medal standards. Attached is a detailed description of the trip, and a rate sheet with prices. Black Canyon Anglers
is the highest quality and most experienced outfitter on the river and will be the guide service we will go through. Availability
is limited so if you are interested please contact me as soon as possible. Here is a link to their website for more info:
http://www.blackcanyonanglers.com/index.html Here's how it works... it is $1700 per person + cabins and dinner ($125 the night before the
trip) and the optional cabins and dinner the night after the trip. Cabins and dinner before the trip ($125) + $1700 per person
boat cost = $1825 per person. If you want to stay the night they come off the river we they just tack that on.
The total cost of the trip would be $11,900.00 (7 people x $1700 each).
I am trying to save June 29th
for for this hosted trip. To confirm and guarantee it we will have to have half the trip deposit. We will need to arrive at
the lodge the afternoon of June 28th. There
are only 3 spots left. I have added an additional date for July 11, and have 4 spots for that date. If there is a date that
works better for you, contact me and I will check availability.

Our annual fly fishing event is typically held on the second Saturday of December from 9am

event was $30 per angler, and these fees are used to purchase additional trout to be stocked at the Action Angler river access
(3rd crossing). Each angler received products donated from Frog Hair, Westwater Products, and flies from Action Angler. Montana
Fly Company sent fly tying materials for door prizes. Echo sent demo rods for the event. Four guides donated
their time for the event. This ensured that each angler received quality instruction from a guide.
If you would like to donate funds towards the purchase of trout to be stocked in the Guadalupe
River, click the gift certificate link below. (trout cost $1.25 each)

learned new things about fly fishing. He said you were so extremely nice and professional. Have
a great day! Becca Hill Hey, Thanks for hosting
the event on Saturday. Chandler and I had a good time. hey just
leaving gardo's, caught probably 10 and lost another 10-all using stuff learned yesterday, so thanks again! :) Hi,
Chris. I just wanted to thank you and the other guides for an educational and fun day. I learned a lot.
I even went out again later in the day - our subdivision has a private river park between the 2nd and 3rd crossing.
I saw trout, but they weren't too interested in eating. I missed a couple, I think (it could have been the bottom!)
Anyway, thanks again. I'll be calling sometime to make sure you're there and come out for some flies, etc Molly White Had a great time, learned a TON, thanks for everything!
:)
